Mike & Ed is a folk-rock duo from Columbus, Ohio who embody the rock and roll spirit of the 60s while still exhibiting class, culture and cool. Meeting at their sons’ Cub Scouts meeting, the two began a multiple year collaboration which has yielded loads of live and studio recordings as well as concerts around Central Ohio. With their submission for NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest in 2020, the duo officially adopted the moniker “Mike & Ed” and recorded Pool of Dreams, their most adventurous recording to date. Ed grew up in Africa learning guitar by ear through imported records. He eventually hitchhiked his way across America to San Francisco during the height of the hippie movement in the late 1960s. Mike started his musical journey playing in a series of rock, soul, fusion, jazz and blues bands in the “heart of rock and roll” … Cleveland.
